Is there a dog whisperer in the house?

My dog is so cute and lovable, but there is something she does that is kind of curious to me. Whenever I howl, she tilts her head, then jumps up and tries to lick my face. It's almost as if she is concerned for me. Does anyone know what that could mean?

I think she might be a little confused because she not use to hearing you howl, but she also may think that you want to be noticed because in the wild when wolfs howl they are trying to let the other wolfs know that there incharge she might think your the alpha dog, signaling your dominants.

I think it might be the high pitch in your voice that is getting her excited.
My dogs get all happy and excited whenever I use a high pitched voice . They think it's play time ! My husband plays harmonica for them and we will have
3 German Shepherds singing at once , it's really cute .

It probably means your dog loves you. When you are howling she probably recognizes that as the sound dogs make when they are distressed and is concerned for you and wants to comfort you. I think that there are some dogs that are really tuned into their owners and the sounds that they make. It sounds like you dog is.
