That depends on how contented you are in your life. When you are not contented with what you got then you always end up in searching more things and whatever you like for your life. Most of the poo, they don't have any choice but to be contented with what's there in them. They learn to accept the fact on their situation. On the other hand, those people you mentioned are sad not because they have everything also. They might have all the material things in their life but in some way, they are not successful with family matters as well. There's a lot out there with this kind of situation, family's are mot intact because of lack of time. And these are just a few reasons why.

It's a funny question huh? I think a great deal of it has to do with the ego's need to create a "hole". I love the line from Hellboy II in which Prince Nuada tells his father that humans need not exist because they have a hole they cannot fill without greed. The ego is the part of us that makes us want more. When we have it, it still is not enough. I believe that people who are happy regardless of what they have, indeed have overcome this ego and entered a new state of existance. I used to worry about bills, what I had, etc. After years of study, meditation, and such I have come to a place in life where I don't worry. I take each day as it unfolds enjoying each moment,not worrying. And I have found this to be the most fruitful and peaceful time I've known. Namaste-Anora

because money isnt everything those that dont have money understand that and know what it means to be truly wealthy those that do have money have not learned how to appreciate the things that money simply cant buy

You can be happy no matter what is in the bank... if you know what's really important. In my case I'm poor in money but rich in family love. I would love to live a comfortable life that allowed me to not worry about bills. But I am happy in the life I live now.... because I live it.
