Remaking old tv shows |
|
What do you think of the new trend to resurrect old tv shows as either new tv shows or full-length movies? I just read an article that said that they are currently working on reviving Melrose Place. I didn't watch it faithfully when it was on the first time. I plan to watch this version because of Colin Egglesfield. Will you watch?

3. JoyfulOne (4228) | 9 months ago | I wonder if Melrose will have the same cast of characters or not?! I'm not sure if I'll watch it or not, if it's got a whole different cast of characters, then it'll seem more like a clone than a continuation. I haven't read anything about it yet though.
Some shows I haven't minded when they made a remake. Like Bewitched series into the modern movie version. I thought it was pretty good. Sometimes I just wonder...there are SO many remakes, re-tooled shows out there, is Hollywood running out of new ideas?!

My parents didn't allow me to watch it, so that's probably why I did. Shame on me...but I got sick of the Dylan/Kelly thing. I haven't watched that remake either. I'm just not interested. And I have to say the new version is a lot racier than the old version.

5. elenaccia (144) | 9 months ago | Reving old shows that ran on TV 20 years ago, is lack of imagination because most of the audience was not born yet or too young so they cannot do wrong in revamping names, some unemployed actors and more actual contents with newer faces, very handsome and beautiful with little acting skills. I see it depressing and repetitive, sorry for my harsh judgement

7. coffeebreak (4827) | 9 months ago | In my opinion...the remakes are never even close to being as good as the original... they are never as sucessful. I don't know why they do them... Why not just a new show... imitating the theme of the first one? They never get the same actors to play the same characters or just use one or two of the originals but all new others.
