Did you hear about the Norwegian 62 year old woman who hit a hole-in-one on her first swing ever? She had two months' worth of golf lessons, teed up on a real live golf course and there you have it, a hole in one! Apparently her coach got very excited, gave her a hug and said, "...here's the problem. There's nowhere to go from here but down." Some say she should have retired from gold right there and then as The Greatest Golfer In The History of the Universe!
Now that's a fluke, I wonder if she has managed to repeat the experience.
Speaking of flukes, have you or anyone you know ever accomplished a great "first"?

Hahahaha...
That's a fluke outright! Lucky she!
As far as I can remember now, I had to work very hard for everything in life. Fluke gives us a momentary pleasure but I am not blessed with that. I have had my stuffs but I have earned it always.

I'm like that too, I don't remember ever "fluking" anything! Thanks for dropping by!

Nothing as flukish as that! I must say though, I'm a very economical golfer. I get more hits for my money, and I can't hit far enough to lose a ball.

I can't even hit the ball! Golf is not my thing I'm afraid. Thanks for responding!

Some might call this beginners luck. For some reason I have stuff like this happen to me when learning any new game. I just beat the pants off of everyone
and then it's down hill from there.
The first great accomplishment I can think of was a class in college where the teacher announced that no one has ever gotten an "A" in her class and that we should not expect one either. Well, I proved her wrong. I got an "A" and as far as I know it has been well over ten years and I still hold the record.
All this even though I struggled with dyslexia.
and then it's down hill from there.

That's the sad part, there's nowhere else to go but down when that happens! Congratulations on the 'A' that's a notable achievement!

the first time I played clue I started and I won, my parents were so shocked because it was my first time playing and no one asked any other questions so I had no tips at all but somehow managed to pick the right one, not as great as the hole in one golfer, but I was still pretty stoked, especially since I was like 12 years old at the time

That's impressive, especially by a 12 year old! Thanks for sharing!
