what can be taken to visit g/f's parents?

Hello,mylotters,one of my friend is going to visit his g/f's parents this weekend and it's his first time to meet them,he is confounded right now and asking me for advices what gifts he could take to them.do you have any good ideas?

Do they have a garden? If so, a nice plant or shrub is always appreciated. Failing that, a bunch of flowers. When my kids bring their bf/gf home I'm just happy if they bring themselves. Best gift I can have is some help with the washing-up!

depends on what they like, and what your gf likes you to bring. if you are bringing something as a surprise, safe stuffs to bring would be home made pies, cakes. usually my bf would be bringing in a pizza as well. i guess you just have to know the fmaily more to know what they will appreciate more. :D goodluck
