do you buy a new pair of sunglasses every year?.... for a fashion reason, or because you buy cheap ones to get you through the year or worse your favorite pair has broken and you need a new pair??
I need a new pair... I had 2 that I bought last year...one from target that was 7.99 and I really really liked them... so did my daughter who played with them and broke the arm off...
...and another pair that I bought from the dollar store...and can not for the life of me find them....
its not like I am out alot of money...I mean under 10.00, but I have to now find a pair that I like again...that is not an easy task!!
so will you be getting a new pair this year?

I'm wondering when I'll get my next pair myself, haha!~
Mine is at least 10 years old already but it's one that's never out of fashion, that's what I like about it. It's quite durable as well. Stepped on it a few times, fell countless time but still as sturdy as ever. Only recently I stepped a bit too hard & the lens on one side like split in the middle but it's still usable? Haha!~
Not the most important things anyway, haha
But maybe I'll look into it soon, hopefully, hehe!~

thankfully I don't need to get sunglasses yet. I have a pair from last year and I wear them through the winter. I had a pair that I had bought a target and they were really cute but someone sat on them! lol!I hate having to get new ones. trying them on and trying to find the right shape and everything...ugghhhh...the pair that i have I think were my daughters and she got new ones. I know what you mean about it not being easy to buy new ones. it is easier to buy a swimsuit!

seriously!! they change the styles every year and they dont always fit every one.... so it is near impossible to find ones that you really like...
....and I will be out in the next 2 weeks, just waiting on some money or getting to my dollar store..
to get my pair for this year.
thanks for the response.

Personally I wear glasses so if I buy sunglasses they have to be the clipons. So I do not have to worry about buying a New pair all of the time for sure. It would be nice to not have to wear Glasses so I could get sunglasses, but I guess since I don't, I do not have to worry about this expense much as well.

oh yeah, some sunglasses are very expensive...but I dont get those...I think the most I have ever spent on sunglasses might have been 15.00 and of course I dont have them anymore...LOL
so I go to the dollar store, or target... kmart...LOL, I get them when they are on sale... since I either lose them or break them.
thanks for the response.

I try not to. If I find a pair of sunglasses that I'm happy with I'd rather keep them as long as I can than buy new ones every summer, if it can be helped. However I'm on my second new pair of sunglasses already this year. My autistic son had broken the previous ones that I had (one pair I had for a few years, I think). When I got my new pair he found those and broken them as well. Ugh! With my current pair I try to remember to keep them in my truck so that he doesn't get tempted to break those as well. Thankfully the ones he broke were relatively inexpensive (all under $15.00), so it wasn't a huge loss, but it was still a loss, just the same.

i dont think that i would be getting a new pair as i had taken it last time before that also i had taken one and alike you my son broke and hence i will continue with the one i had taken it last time. it happens children just play and break it and this had happened several times with my husband and he had to take around three sunglasses in the same month as my son had broke them.

I used to buy a brand new pair from Walmart for $15...and that was too expensive even for me. Then, I discovered that the dollar store had the exact same type I love (the one specially made for driving) for only...a dollar. You can't beat those prices.
Yes, I've tried the UV stuff...but it's the one that's for driving that I've found to be the best. It does make a difference as it doesn't dim the light, but take off the glare. Try looking around at other dollar stores because you'll never know what you'll find in their shippments.

I don't buy anything unless I need it. So happens I haven't had sunglasses in years and MAY pick up a pair this year. Depends if they're just a few cents or whatever..at flea markets.
I can't wait for summer though, at this point...although I know I'll be regretting the warm once it actually does get here.

It seems like I was always buying a new pair of sunglasses throughout the year. I would find some that I really liked, then would lose them or they would get broken. Now I have the transitions lenses on my prescription glasses and don't have to worry about finding a pair that I like. When I wear them all the time, I don't leave them laying around somewhere and lose them like I used to do with my old sunglasses. It would be way too expensive to replace those glasses each year.

UV-protected sunglasses are always better than others.so when you are getting them cheap or the costly branded ones are definitely going to help you in long run. for me if i am chosing something cheap and stylish at the same time then i prefer to wear it for the current season...

I would like to get a new pair of sun glasses but unfortunately, I don't have extra money to spend on it... :-( not just sun glasses, I can't even buy some stuff that I want, what a pity...

I just got an outdoor job, working at a beach this summer and I needed some work boots and I'll also need some sunglasses. Did you have any luck Book-reading-mom? I'm looking for some more expensive and long-lasting, durable sunglasses. I think maybe I'll look at the Sun-glass Hut for a designer pair or something. My spending limit is 150$, but I know I'll get lots of use out of them so I'm not too worried. Also the job I'm acquiring will quickly pay for the sunglasses.

Appreciate it very much!~
