Do you have a favorite news anchor?

Hi learn2earn! I know what you mean. My b/f really doesn't like this one lady that anchors sometimes so when it's her day..he fusses about it..LOL..I do have a favorite radio station morning show I like to listen to on the way to work and I know their names. Thanks for responding.

I know! I couldn't believe I remembered the name of a weather lady from the age of 6 or 7. Faces are mostly all I remember too. I was never big on the names. Peter Jennings was a shame though. Thanks for responding.

Do you remember the terrorist attack on Mumbai? It lasted for 60 hours and I was watching only NDTV 24X7 as she was only available there. Since then that chanel is out of my TV now.

I liked her voice but she isn't that beautiful as other news anchors are these days!

Wow! We have the news in English and Spanish here. Do you speak all those languages?

I can read & write & speak in Malay, English & Chinese. I can speak & understand very minimum when it comes to Tamil though, haha!~Spanish, that's cool!~I personally love languages, I wonder why I'm not a linguist, haha!~

Thanks for the compliment!~ But I guess it's because of the culture here & everyone has to learn Malay & English in school which is compulsory. As for those who are not Malay, they get to learn their own language which is either Chinese or Tamil. To master a language, that's a different thing, haha!~But due to my diverse background - we grew up in a place where it was heavily populated with Tamil people & we had a sundry shop there so that's where I picked up that language. My grandma was definitely a pro. Chinese I learnt in school plus dad was also from a Chinese school & he introduced me to the history & literature which was really interesting & captivating especially the history of China. Well, that's our roots anyway. As for mum's side, most of them converse well in English plus aunty has an English husband so I've got cousins there, another uncle has a Swiss wife - so it's English but quite fun to pick up a bit Swiss & German as another aunty has a German husband. It's intriguing though that The Swiss can understand the German's German language but the Germans can't really understand the Swiss German as I think it's because it's High German language which happens to be a dialect? Confusing eh? Haha!~
