My Cure For Depression

I have the winter blahs every year...and I get down in the dumps. I have found if every morning when I wake up I lay there for a moment and smile and tell myself it is going to be an awesome day and I try to keep that smile on my face. It is amazing how much better it makes you feel. If you have never done it, try it one morning. What are some other ways that you have made the blahs go away?

I know what you mean when you feel like that in the morning because that is how i wake up every morning especially in winter. I will surely try what you suggested!

i feel i get refreshed after having my chocolates. And best remedy is Meditation, try breathing exercise, it will help you balance and handle depression.

i usually get busy doing something around here that will keep me busy & make me think of something besides what's bothering me.

Exercise, Do something that gets you excited, whether its a hobby, or making some yummy food. Spend a nice time with friends. Forget its winter, just do everything you can that you like :)

Here are some ways I've tried to feel better on those types of days: 1.) Drink water (I don't know why..But I always feel a lot cleaner/better about myself when I drink water. lol. Don't really know why). 2.) Spend time with my family, especially my younger sister. 3.) Talk to only my friends who are UPBEAT and make me feel GOOD about MYSELF. 4.) A few "pep talks" never hurt anyone. 5.) Running or finding some way to get exercise in. Exercise releases endorphins, which usually cause us to be happy (and skinny). . Those are just some random things I've done lately, and they seem to be working.
