Education....Does AGE matter????? |
|
Do you think there's any age for education?I mean to say that suppose a man is 40 but is not a graduate. So,if he wants to be a graduate, will colleges allow him to undergo graduate studies?? And will not other regular students not bully him??

1. maezee (4968) | 10 months ago | I don't see why a 40 year old wouldn't be allowed in an undergraduate school. We have a lot of "non-traditional" students who go to my school and are in my classes - I think we have a 65-year-old lady in my cultural studies class. Who cares? More power to 'em. It's never too late to learn.
And I can't imagine a bunch of 18 year olds "bullying" someone who's twice as old (and twice as wise) as them. They'd be asking for trouble, lol.

Some college students can be rude, but who cares. There is always online classes too. I am doing them now. I am only 25, but i dont have time to go to school. I am a mother of 2 toddlers. I encourage anyone who wants to better themselves.

3. blion23 (370) | 10 months ago | I do not think at age matters for education. Education is very important, and just because you are older doesn't mean that you cannot pursue an adequate education. If you are really determined to go to school, then age and bullying should not play a factor because you should have your eyes set on your goal. I am currently going to school right now to gain more knowledge and while I made be made fun of every once in a while, I know what I want, and I know what I have to do to get it. Good luck!

4. rymebristol (1645) | 10 months ago | no, the privilege to have education doesn't account what's the persons age, background, ethnicity or whatever concern. education is for everyone, i am already 25 and i am going back to attend my un-finish degree in Electrical Engineering. i am hesitant, yes, mainly because of my age, my classmates would probably be around 18 to 19 of age while i am already 25, but i don't want to mind it.

5. daydreamer20 (768) | 10 months ago | Age should not be a limit or an obstacle when it comes to education. My father is a retired banker in his 60s and during his time, personal computers are pretty rare. Yet, he is now learning how to use Adobe Photoshop and how to upload photos using Picasa. He's even learning some foreign languages.
Oh, and my grandmother, when she was around 70s, started learning some foreign languages as well.

6. hotsummer (2760) | 10 months ago | i don't think it is bad to study again in college in your are 40. at least that is college. but not when you are 40 but still taking up high school. but still if that is the case you can do that still you just have to do some home school learning than in formal school. or you can just say that for college that it is just another additional course for you. and you are done with the first one.

| 7. nidabadua (37) | 10 months ago | college education only requires high school graduates as a prerequisite not with age. College education are for adults and grown up people so you need not worry to be bullied by anybody. Oldies as college students are respected as education is a dignified action.
