My daughter has a raw wood table & chairs set. We are currently using some cardboard as a table cloth to protect the wood but this is now very grotty. What could I use or make for a table cloth until I can get some varnish to protect the wood?

I used a piece of fabric that I had left over from another project. Honestly, though, if it's for crafts I would just cover it in layers of old newspaper and remove a layer each day. If it's for other activities, I'd use a piece of fabric over top of a piece of cardboard - that way you can wash the fabric.

How about some clear vinyl - think you can get it on a roll , just measure so youll know how much you ned at walmart. The it wont leak and mess up the wood anymore, and you can wipe it up with a cloth
