When your children were small, espically if you have girls, do you remeber sitting down with them and having tea parties, using water or juice in the tea pot as tea and very tiny sweets as cakes, maybe even bringing the dolls and teddies into it as well. Haven't done this for ages will put this on my to do list for the summer when we are siting outside in the garden.

Great idea my oldest wants to go to the park I think she'd love it if I surprised them with a tea party / picnic lunch or snack time.

I used to love doing that tea set on a cloth with tiny sweets and biscuits on little plates, all the teddies were touted down stairs and sat on a blanket with assorted dolls, action men hours of fun and did not cost a penny.wonderful memories.love suzzy3.

I don't think i ever remember doing that. I did send a tea set to my niece for her birthday several years ago, because she liked stuff like that. there is also a cute commercial for microwave popcorn here where a little girl is having a tea party, and she get a bowl of popcorn from her Mommy, and two guys (I think her Dad and a friend or something) want some popcorn, and she makes these big macho guys join the party if they want the popcorn. It's really cute.

I only had boys, so I did not have tea parties, but I used to board with this family and when they had company, the little girls used to play with dolls and have tea parties. I also remembering pretending to be the princess and having tea parties, but that is so long ago.

My mom used to do this all the time with my little sister. Tea parties were her favorite and she has gotten a new one every year, collectibles of course, and now she is sixteen! I never got into that stuff, Barbie was more my thing than playing dress up and tea party.

I've been invited to many tea parties, my little girl doesn't do them any more. She has them for her dolls though.

Hi anne! I don't have any kids, but I do remember having little tea parties when I was young! I would put water in the cups and have my dolls make believe drink! I didn't have any real food for them so we had to make believe eat too! That brought back a strange memory which is kind of fuzzy for me since I am alot older now! I do wish I could remember it a bit better, but I just can't get a clearer picture in my mind! I do hope that you will enjoy the garden tea parties and remember them!
