Do you give your used but nice furniture to others?

I have done that before also. I like to give it to people who need it and will take care of it.

I don't even have good furniture with me, how am I supposed to give them to others. I am using 30 years old bed which my mum's mum presented her on her wedding with my father.

I am using the same chairs for last 20 year. I can't give things to others until I have one of those new to our family!

My family and I like to pass furniture and stuff around each other, if nobody wants it we ask friends and neighbours, failing that we give it to charity.
It was nice of your firend to give you the furniture and you then in turn giving your to someone else, it's a snowball effect where lots of people benefit. It's always exciting to get a new home and furniture, it's like a whole new world to explore. just watch when you get up in the middle of the night for a pee and don't bump into or fall over anything unfamiliar! LOL

oh yes! today that is a very good idea. its really hard buying new furniture again. when i moved this time i left several good peices of furniture to my daughter in florida. mostly because sons gf said i didnt need it. and quote "what'll i do with mine?" meaning if i didnt use what she already had in the room. problem now being, if she leaves i have to replace it! not good on my budget.

My mother will give away anything nice but is no longer used around the house. She encourages us to give away our clothes if they're still good for other people to use - our clothes, our books, whatever! She also likes giving away food especially if she knows we have too much for the family. For furniture she also have given away a set because she bought a new one for herself. The set she gave away was newly fixed (she had the covers changed just recently).

Hi, HelloMickey! If I had some furniture to give away, I would do so. Just as long as it is still in good and decent condition, I will ask my family and friends if they could use it. That is very thoughtful of you to consider giving your furniture away. Stay Blessed!

Lols, I love to have fun, anyways, yes, I do usually give my slightly used furniture and clothing to others in need. Since furniture is kind of expensive I normally try to hold on to it down to the very end but with old clothing I normally just give it to good will. Or set it out for the trash. Then usually some guy will come by and pick out whatever he wants then he uses it in a yard sale from what I'm told. But hey, one man or woman's trash is another one's treasure, so I applaud him for having the ingenuity to be able to take something old and give it a fresh new twist. happy mylot!
