I took my son for a routine eye doctor visit yesterday. Two things I am not focused on. First his eye drainage has not cleared up. I guess the doctor still thinks is the tear duct. Which I think it is but after two surgeries i want to give up. So he told me to watch it for 10 weeks. If it didn't clear up then they would do a third procedure which would involve inserting a balloon of some sort an then removing it. Its hard to explain. So thats one thing. Second thing is he is far sighted. The doctor said most toddlers out grow it but he wants to recheck his eyes in six months. Well I just found out his grandpa is farsighted. So I dont know if its genetic or not. Just wanted to share.

That's not any fun! Are they going to put tubes in his tear ducts? My cousin had some issues with his tear ducts when he was really little, and he had tubes put in them for a while. A lot of kids get tubes put in their ears and tear ducts as toddlers. It might be a little more common than you think! I'd try not to worry about it too much!

They already did the tube. Thats why they are turning to the balloon.
