Possibly Buying A Home??

I'm really nervous, but there's a home my husband and I may be able to purchase. It will be amazing if we can manage it. I think we could, however, I'm just worried we won't be able to! My husband is going to cash in some stocks and ask some family members for a little help. So hopefully, we can get it! It isn't the most amazing or large house, but it's better than the situation we're in now. After June, we have nowhere to live! So I'm clinging to this hope!

I think sometimes we have to just throw ourselves into the deep end..I bought a flat when I was very young and in a time when home loans and such were just not given to single females but I jumped in and I did it. I now have my own house..I guess it depends on what country you are in and maybe on your loan arrangements but i always looked at it that nothing has to be permanent, I felt if things got too hard for me then I would just sell and maybe even come out with a little profit but I did well and on my own...I hope things work out for you, it is wonderful owning your own home...

Yeah. It's just a matter of pulling all the strings, and getting everything into place to do it. We need to sell our car before we actually get the home, but I think we could do it. It's just a matter of working it all out.

Hi Samantha, that's great news and I hope you're able to buy that house. It's definitely a good investment. Before your husband cashes in those stocks talk to a real estate agent about the house and ask about what first time homebuyer programs are available in your area. If you have an agent as a buyer it costs you nothing...the seller's percentage is split between the two...but having one can be so helpful from making your initial offer to holding your hand at closing. When I bought my first home I used a first time homebuyer's program that covered the entire down payment so my only expense was a $1,000 good faith deposit, which was returned to me at closing. If you don't want to go through an agent, do an online search for your state and see what's available. Good luck!

It looks like we're not going to be able to buy the house after all. :(
