When you go camping do you use a tent or a camper?  

We used to go camping a lot back in Australia when my younger daughter was into rowing. Every weekend, I would driver her up the mountain where there is this beautiful lake called, Lake Barrington, where the rowing club do most of the competition.

We had all the camping gears but I normally bring the van and lay the mattress at the back and sleep on it with my son who was about 8 then while my daughter would pitch a tent along with the rest of the rowing members. It was fun but I am not really into camping. I like the convenience of my own toilet rather than walking in the middle of the night to the public loo. I don't like packing and unpacking and cleaning up. Hahah But as I said, it was fun especially when my girl and the rest of her mates are winning the race!

Usually i use a tent but that was a long time ago... I don't have anymore time to go camping, but i do missed.

have been camping useing tents. cant seem to get comfy on the ground though i did love it when we went in my RV i used to have. we got just as close in it and spent time playing cards and fishing and slept much better than on the ground tho. safer to.

oh i would love to go camping , heheh. If i go, ill bring tents, because i got tents when it went on sale in the mall last time. Wow its nice to experienced the moment.

I think a camper definitely has some good purposes. But I have always loved tent camping. I love having to cook over the fire. We have cast iron dutch ovens and frying pans that we have had forever. They are so well seasoned that the food always comes out perfect. It is always fun to cook the hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire.

I also love being so close to nature. I love listening to the rain against the tent. I love hearing the birds chirp in the morning.

I also love having to cuddle in close to my husband on the cooler nights. It just feels so amazing.

I know so many people who say they could never go camping in a tent. I think they just dont know what they are missing. You can go so many places with a tent that you cant go with a camper!

When I go camping, I usally use a tent instead of a camper, although campers seems really nice, I have a few friends that have campers and they treat thm as their mobile camping homes. I think using a tent is more fun when you are camping in my opinion, it gives you that real felling that you are actually away in the woods and camping. I thought about investing ina camper, but I changed my mind, I guess I will stick to tents for now.

We use a tent....always. Using a camper is cheat-camping. When I was younger, I didn't even use a tent...just a sleeping bag. There is nothing like it. The whole point in camping is to "get away from it all". Campers are just a place to stay when you don't want to pay for a motel room....not when you want to go camping.

i like to camp in a tent. it gives a greater feeling of the outdoors and you cant beat being so close to the elements, the feeling that anything could go wrong with the weather is part of the fun of camping : )
