Well I have to watch it to see if it supports or refute the Bible.
Anyway, I want to ask why you spell God this way>> G'd
I've heard that it's a Jewish practice but I don't really know what's the reason behind it. Educate me.

The correct way for a Jew to write G'd's name is Hashem,(the name) but most folks would not know who I was talking about. You never write Hashem's name someplace where it will be desecrated or destroyed. It is only written in the Siddur(prayer book), the Torah,and the Tanach(full Bible). But since most people do not understand Hashem we abbreviate his name to G'd. I think I will start using Hashem and let folks figure it out.

About the Chinese deity, well that's a first time 'cause from what I've heard, there's no deity in China. I think they prefer Buddhism. Buddha is not really a deity right!?!

I understood about G'd. I knew that Jewish people believe that the name of G'd is so reverent that it should not be spoken in common talk, and I respect that idea. I even like it. I had not heard of Ha shem so I thank you for helping me learn new things. Yes, my friend, you are correct, Buddha is not a Deity, but is considered to be and enlightened leader, but not all Chinese are Buddhists, either. This is a good discussion.

China is supposed to be a communist country and their government don't like these religious concepts of God. In short, it's more like a country focused on atheism.

Like I said, I was quite surprised to hear that about 70 million Chinese (from the 2nd video) are embracing Christianity and perhaps others are embracing various beliefs as well.

It's a good sign of showing that we have the freedom to believe in anything and that we have the responsibility to respect each others beliefs.

I would be speaking of more ancient chinese deities, not the buddha.

Do you realize that most scientists are believers? My Dad worked with the space program from its inception. I would say that at least 90% of the guys out at the space center believed in Hashem.

According to the Bill Maher's documentary called "Religulous", it says that above 90% of American scientists are (either) atheists or agnostic?

yes most of them atheist,.. then they become one of the religions after one or some 'influencing discoveries'.. even astronouts.

Perhaps the church attendance increased because those who attended are believers already. They just attended church because of the recession LOL.

I do not watch much tv. As I said, I have read things over the years.

I think the 7 plagues of Egypt is included in this documentary since it talks about the Exodus.

The Da Vinci Code is awesome. So what if Jesus got married to Mary Magdalene and had a royal bloodline?
Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with that.

And oh yeah, you should watch Angels & Demons. I'm quite excited for that as well.

The thing that set me to wondering in the D'vinci code was Jesus was not seen as holy or anything.. til he (supposedly) married Mary Magdalen then it became a holy line? As you say there would have been no reason for Jesus to hide a marriage if there'd been one.. The verses someone quoted to me as proof was when the Mother of Jesus and Jesus and some disciples were called (invited) to a wedding in Cana.. where Jesus turned water into wine when the host and wedding party ran short.. That seems like quite a stretch to me! Anyway by the end of reading the book, seems like the deity (to them) is a holy female part.. quite strange actually. Good fiction though.

I find the Revelation quite exciting. I hope science can come up with an explanation for one of its chapters.

Personally i think Revolations was written relative to the times it was written, for those times. That is why it is not written in straight language so it could not be deciphored.

Revelations is a book of Paralytical Writings, and there is a different meaning for everything that is written in the book of Revelations. It is not to be taken literally.
