Has mobile taken over on watches, alarm clocks, stop watches?

i think mobile has taken a lot of what you need individualy. it has been my task note book, reminders of birthday and important dates, calendar, camera and a video recorder at the same time. though i must say that watches is still cool for me as an accessory. my wife and me has the same watch with james dean and we love wearing this together.

I work at a high school, and sometimes I am without my watch (I don't carry my cell phone to school at all). I will ask for the time and no student will have a watch. They are all dependent on their cell phones to tell time, and it seems that watches are out of fashion because of this. I wonder if this change will be permanent.

I don't have watch and in recent past I didn't have alarm clock either. So, I was dependent on my mobile for time as well as alarm. Even I didn't have clalender with me when I was in New Delhi. So, mobile was my only friend who used to tell me what day today is.

With that digital calander I could make important notes and keep reminders to remind me of important tasks.

I have seperate watch & alarm clock... I used to use my cell phone as my camera but my work provided me with a digital camera so use that... I don't like using my cell phone for anything other than what it's meant to be used for, calling... Ok, sometimes I use it for text messages, too...

Yes i agree with you that mobile taken over on watches,alarm clock,stop watch,cam etc...I too watch time on mobile,keep alarm clock because i can keep more than 5 alarm at a time,and i record videos and capture photos on mobile.

For me, my mobile phone has taken over the alarm clock as the cell phone has alarm in it. As for watches, i still wear a watch whenever I go out. stop watches? Hardly use them.

I support the statement that mobile has replaced many things in ones life. It has relaced email with sms, replaced alarm clock with the function corperated in it, replaced diaries with reminder function, replaced mp3 and walkman with the music download capabilities, replaced cameras with its camera attached, replaced calender and even watch. I have friends who look at their handphone for every single need they want. Even calculator.

Yes to some extent mobile has replaced watch, stop watch, camera etc. I have not used watch from long 5-6 years and using mobile to look for time. Even mobile with camera and computer is quit useful for printing photgraph. Though Iam not using camera for taking pic but sometimes it is useful for taking shots in emergency.

Sure.The many-featured cellphone is here to make life easier and simpler.There is no need for you to buy a watch, alarm clock, calculator, camera, phone because the cellphone does all these.You only need one with its many features and you're ready to go.

The first thing that I replaced with my cell phone, besides the regular telephone was my watch. When my watch battery died, I didn't bother to replace it. When I need to know what time it is, I use my cell phone. I also use my cell phone as an alarm clock.

I took a few pictures on my cell phone the other day, but so far, it doesn't really replace a camera. It's just to have some pics on my phone.

My son has a cell phone that I think takes better quality pictures. It even looks like a digital camera somewhat when you go to take a picture. It's a touch screen and when youre taking the picture, you turn the phone sideways. I don't know if you can download the pictures to a computer or not.

I know several people who are accessing the internet with their cell phones and getting driving directions on their cell phones. I haven't gotten that far yet.
