You do have a very valid point. With Easter behind us I can only imagine the rabbits and chicks that will end up neglected, dead or on someone's front porch in a box. I am hoping that kids will see that these aren't "real" guinea pigs. I didn't see a lot of people rushing out to get guinea pigs after Dr. Dolittle. Maybe when they are personified it removes the need to "get one" to see if they are going to be as cool as they are on the big screen. I have enough trouble with my piggies when they all start squeaking and squealing when they hear a plastic grocery bag, I can't imagine how "bad" it would be if they could talk. "Gimme those carrots, come on, right now, please, they look so good, carrots, carrots, carrots!" Ok, that's a bit of a stretch but I know they would be little chatterboxes
