social rules regarding men and women

I have been away from the contest between men and women but it seems to me from what people tell me that our society in the US is not helping resolve the differences. When social rules are strict men know what is expected of them in regards to women and the rest of their lives is with other men, it's the same with women. I'm wondering if that doesn't make it easier. I know it's not more fair but isn't it better when all of your life is not taken up with the man, woman conflict?

What I can understand from you post is that you are asking for a rule for men for living in this society. I always used to think that US woman are the most liberal on in the world. In my country every girl wants to have rights what US woman posses. I am surprised that you are saying such things

It's a case of being careful of what you wish for. A lot of women live alone here I don't know if that is better or worse.

Hi jeeny, No, they will not live alone but they don't want to see their women ruling over them. Most of them don't want to see women taking one step ahead of us. They would be happy living with them until they obey the rules but once she wants to be a little liberal, things get worse. That is the only reason why woman gets abused by them becuse they can't beat them in public so, they try to destroy thm in private. I just hate them!

I'm not really sure where you're going with this. What man/woman conflict? The battle of the sexes? The one that has existed since the beginning of time? In the U.S. there may still be conflict, but it is a conflict that more than likely will never go away. By and large there is more equality of the sexes here than in most other places in the world. I think you may be talking about social mopres, women are supposed to be feminine, men - masculine, etc. Every society has those and they won't go away either. Are they constricting? Yeah, a little, but if you want to live among other people you have to endure some constriction. It certainly doesn't take up an entire life. If people are really worrying about the gender issue to the point they have nothing else in their life, they need to go to countries where women are one step below chattel and get a reality check.

I've never been to much about the man woman conflict thing. Unless i am provoked to do so by say..a horrible disrespect or being down graded for the fact I am a woman. Even then I usually just walk away and chalk them up as people I would rather not be around. Besides..I like men..lol...well..most of them.
