| Who likes to bake for the holidays??? | | | | I DO. Every major holiday I am the one who always brings the desert. One year I didnt really have a lot of money to buy gifts for my whole family and friends plus my boys so I baked and baked. I got boxes and wrapped them in christmas paper and made so many different kinds of cookies and goodies and it was a big hit. I made cream cheese filled cookies, cherry chip cookies. mint cookies, mice cookies, wreaths made with corn flakes and marshmellows, and so on. The biggest hit of them all were the cream cheese filled cookies. They take a while to make but they are really worth it. That year I made over 50 batches of cookies. That is not including all the cakes and pies I had to made for the dinner. It was a long week but it was worth it. Do you like to bake? | | I like to cook most of the time, actually. And desserts are what I'm best at, so obviously I like to bake for the holidays. Not ALL of them. Christmas and Thanksgiving are the two major ones. But I will occasionally make things up special for other holidays when the mood strikes too. I like trying new things, but will usually try to stick to the classics 'cause my family doesn't tend to want me to experiment much. | | | | | | | | | | Business Lending Contact GE Capital Today for Business Lending Solutions. fastyourtr.com | add comment | | | |

| | Baking is very rewarding, and i love doing it. I have done that my self some years. and for some i add a few other things because i have a good sized garden each year with vegetables and some fruits...I make some homemade jams, with the fruit. and for the ones that like a little spice. I dry out some of the hot peppers (i grow a few different kinds) then i crush them up and mix the different kinds in a shaker jar. So they can add it to the foods that they want all year. | | | | | | | | deadlyorchid1029 (80)

| | That is awsome. I would love to have a garden but it is kinda hard living in an apartment complex on the second floor. You think if i started one on my balcony it would work? I also get the boys to make little gifts and arts and crafts each year to put in there. Last year we made home made snow globes out of baby food jars. They were a huge hit. | | | | dlr297 (2879)

| | I bet you could start a small balconey garden. with just a few tomato, or pepper plants, they can be grown in buckets, or planters. They also have those hanging planters that you can grow tomato and pepper plants in ( I cant remember the name of them) But that might be something that you could look into. | | | | | | | Best Mutual Funds Learn About Best Mutual Funds Now.
