Department of Education - Union Wins, Students Lose

During the receint congressional debate on the vouchers for the Washington DC School District it seems that the Department of Education (DOE) with held a report that showed the vouchers were working and helping kids. Teachers Union opposed the voucher program. President Obama went along with the wishes of Congress and the Teachers Union and allowed the program to die. President Obama stated last year in a speech that “you do what works for the kids”, but I guess that is only when the Teachers Union agrees.
