Do You Believe There's Life After Death? Resurrection,Judgment, Heaven and Hell? |
| |
| Almost all if not all of us especially Christians, have been brought up on the belief that there's life after death. Many of us when grown up start questioning this belief as there are so many unanswered questions regarding life after death. Do you still believe that there is life after death, that there is a purpose of why we are here and that this is just a transition period to a better life? Do you believe that you will be resurrected when Christ returns to the earth and that we are destined for heaven or for hell? Or do you believe that this is just the only meaningful part of our existence and that after we die we cease to exist completely and just return to dust from whence we came? Then why did we exist at all? Is there a greater purpose for us or it was just an accident of nature that we exist and when we grow old and grey and die, that is the end for us? | | | | | |

| | I am spiritual but not religious. Religion is an invention of man through the ages. That it why it is so divise. Invented dogma, rituals and traditions. How can we possibly believe in a situation invented by man? That makes no sense at all. I believe that we do continue naturally after this life in a spiritual dimension. | | | | | | |

| | I believe in the latter part, though i think it is wrong to say that there is not a purpose with our existence. Life is what you make of it. I don't see the problem with that there is not a greater decided purpose for all us humans. Does there have to be a damn reason for everything? Can't you just sit back and enjoy this precious life you have without making up meanings about your life that do not exist but in your mind? That is jsut my opinion though but i guess religious people have a completely different view | | | | | | |

| | Well... it seems to be such a waste if we exist only to disappear without a trace. If there's no reason for our being then are you saying that our existence is just an accident of nature and we humans just happen to have been an accident of nature. | | | |

| | Would you then believe you can be reincarnated not as a person but as something else? If so, what would you like to be in your next life in case you had a choice. | | | |

| | I know for a fact that there are a lot of people out there who have the same beliefs despite the fact that there is really no certified proof of life after death, much more so of heaven and hell. But then that's what's fate is all about isn't it? | | | |

| | Hi acevivx, I was born and raised a Christian and grew up believing all the things you mention here, although I may have had doubts about some of it. Today I still believe in life after the transition that we call death but that is all. My reason for believing this is that there is a knowing within me. I cannot prove life after death to another and I have no desire to do so, as what difference could it possibly make? The belief in a traditional heaven and hell makes no sense at all, and why would an almighty God want to judge such creatures as us? As for resurrection, who would want to take up their old earthly body again anyway? There is I believe, a spiritual body and that is the real person. I do however, believe that reincarnation is probably true and those who study such things would know that the words resurrection and reincarnation both come from the same root word. Blessings. | | | | | | |

| | I wonder what made you change your mind as to heaven and hell since you grew up believing in such but I guess you must have a good reason for changing your beliefs. Re the question as to the sense of believing in such matters don't they say that belief in something implies that logic does not necessarily come into play or that believing means that you don't have to understand something but still accept it as true? So sense and logic are not indispensable requirements for believing? Thanks for the blessings and blessings on you too. | | | |

| | Yes I still do. My parents are not regular church goers but they allow us to join Sunday school for children even it is staged by other denominations. We even have catechism in our elementary years even if I attended public schools. So all in all, I grew up in a Christian community and imbibed the belief early in life. There was a time though that I started doubting those beliefs. New learnings in college made me question the veracity of Christian teachings. However, my questions lead me to search more and those years of searching only proves that the beliefs I grew up with are more logical and more believable than the alternative teachings trying to sway me. Biblical teachings and predictions, though oftentimes ignored, are actually becoming more relevant as years pass by. Moreover, personal experiences convinced me further that God loves us so much and what the Bible teaches about life after death, heaven and hell are all but true waiting to be revealed in due time. | | | | | | |

| | Life after death?????? Count on that!!! Life is the education of God's children. When times are good, we sit back and enjoy the ride. When adversity hits, we have to think, plan, study, analyze, and grow in so many ways along the journey. Since it takes adversity to learn some of our greatest lessons, that creates a problem. Most people take adversity personal soon there comes a point when learning is impossible. We go to heaven to show us that it has never been about punishment. Is there a hell?? Could you send your children to a fiery pit for eternity no matter what they did??? God won't either. God just sends more lessons for us all. Remember, we are spiritual beings in our true nature. We are all eternal!!!! | | | | | | |

| | From my point of view, there doesn't seem much of a point in existing if we don't believe there's a hereafter. | | | |

| | There really seems to be no point in our existence if there is no life after death and I don't think man just came into being as just one on the natural results of evolution. I would rather believe that we were put on earth for a purpose and that it does not all end when we die | | | |
