Learning English did not pose a problem to me as I come from a family of linguists. We have sharp ears for any kind of languages so learning any new language comes easy. English had been the medium of instruction when I was studying and mingling around with people who constantly converse in English has polished up my English further. Participating in mylot does a lot of goodness as we learn the finer points of writing in English. Once you have mastered the spoken and written English you will be no difference to the native speakers, may even excel in so many ways.

The biggest difficuty for me is the vocabulary. As u know,it is a must to have a lot of vocabulary when you are learning a new language. To accumulate as many words as I can is a long-term job.I need to remember several words per day.But I always forget what I have learnt yesterday. That makes me mad! I haven't taken any special classes to learn English as English is a basic subject for all the Chinese students. We need to learn English when we were in the kindergarden. So most of us needn't to take special classes. But some people who want to make a great progress in their English will have some special classes.I haven't tried those classes,so I don't know the impact of those classes. In my opinion, learning English is a job you only can rely on yourself.Nobody can help you.

When i was young, yes. I had the most difficulties of all time. But sooner than i think, I learned to speak/read and write English well enough. Its basically about the determination to learn. For me, I got the feeling of determination when my colleagues felt so ahead of me, so i strive to make each day of my English course better. LOL. I read books, blogged almost everyday just to improve my skills. And i kept listening and watching Hollywood movies! Thats it. I believe Im cool enough to face the world, some of my friends even congratulated me for a wonderful communication Skill such as the one i have now. =)

Hello Dasari100, The formal education here needs us to learn English from as young as 7 years old until 17 years old. English is widely spoken here but still, it is not the official language in my country. When I just started, I had no problems but the only thing that stopped me from talking in English is the way how people look at you when you talk differently. I felt shy to speak in English and very afraid to make mistakes. When I started working, I had to speak English most of the time. That was the time where I really learned and tried to improvise myself.

Initially I did face problems, but gradually I learnt..and can better say I am still learning. because I am an editor, so I am earning my bread from English. What kind of tips you want to learn english by the way? If its grammar, you know where to look for. Its better u enhance your reading skills as more you read, more you will learn.
