Do you agree that cellphones are like toilet bowls?

Last night, in the news, a scientist made a test on the degree of dirtiness on a few things. He made a test in kitchen sink, kiddie table, playground, toilet bowl, and used cellphone. I was shocked with the result. The dirtiness of a used cellphone is the same as the toilet bowl. I really don't like to believe because I am a cellphone addict. I don't like to throw it.

I agree with the lady above me, or below me, however this thing works. The lady who said our toilet bowels aren't as dirty as you might think. I do remember them doing some sort of talk show and the person said the toilet bowel is one of the cleanest because we take more care of it since it has the stigma of being a dirty thing. I think the phone booth had the most disgusting things on it. Anyhow, I'm the only one who uses my cell phone and if I do happen to let someone else use it I use a clorox wipe on it afterwards. Maybe I'm weird that way. So hopefully my cell phone isn't all that bad.

I hope applying clorox on your cellphone will not cause you for cellphone repair afterward.

LOL, I am not pouring clorox onto it. It's kind of like a baby wipe. Just a small cloth like tissue that has clorox in it to help disinfect. I don't think it will cause any problem at all.

Well, toilet bowls aren't actually as dirty as we think! Did you know a computer mouse/keyboard is actually MORE DIRTY (dirtier? lol) than a toilet bowl - and I guess that means it's also dirtier than a phone, too! Door knobs are also one of the dirtiest things we touch on a constant basis. It makes me a little paranoid, actually.

Yes, there are many things which are much much dirtier than you may even imagine! Forget other things, take the human body for instance. Don't brush your teeth or don't take a bath for a couple of days, and I think you'll find your body comparable to what you have been comparing your cell phone with! The thing is, everything gets dirty, you just need it to keep clean. Just like you do for your body, do it for your usables as well. Then you won't have any such feelings!!

If this is true it's like saying that I'm sleeping next to my toilet bowl...lol! I use it as an alarm clock so it stays within arms length. Can this be really true? And I have 2 phones...so that means I'm sleeping with 2 toilet bowls beside me :P. I don't leave it around anyway. It stays inside my bag most of the time and so far it didn't cause me any harm....yet. I wonder about that radiation thing thought....

I think all things that we used have bacterias in it. Especially those that we always used, like cellphones. As long as you will not put that phone in your mouth, then its fine!!:))

I also have heard of that news a year ago and I was surprised when I hear it from the news. The best way to deal with it is change your cellphone every two years so that you can't accumulate germs into it. Prevention is better than cure.

thank's for your useful information. i seldom use cell phone. just for it's radiations, and don't consider other things.you can wash your hand, but you don't wash the telephone. so when you hand your cell phone . you will have bad things in your hand, you can't wash you hand every time when you used your cell phone. so there are a lot of place with be polluted by your hand and cell phone.

I could see to were a cell phone would be dirty, but I don't know if their as dirty as a toilet bowl. To me I think money would be about the dirtiness thing that you could handle. Just think about it that same piece of money is passed from one person to the next, there's not telling whats on the change that you just got back at the store.
