Is there a right way of playing Sudoku?

I was playing the other day and I thought of a way of doing it, like a code I guess.
counting the spaces of the number.
Does anyone else found a way of doing it, so u wont have to rack your brain in doing it?

I don't think there's a "right or wrong" way to do Sudoku, I think whatever works for you is just fine. I use a lot of "strategies" that I can't really explain - because I'd probably sound like a madman. I try to find any little way to figure out where a number goes, and sometimes it works - and sometimes it doesn't. I don't think there's just ONE strategy when it comes to getting fast at it.

I don't think there is a specific right way to solve sudoku puzzle. For me personally, I'll go row by row or column by column in stead of going by number.
