Do You Prefer E-Books or Hard-Copy Books?

There is no contest. Nothing beats sitting down in a favourite chair with a good book. There's something about the printed word that is so beautiful, comforting and inspiring. Scrolling down a screen just doesn't do it for me. I spend a lot of time on my computer, writing articles and posting on Mylot, but my computer is for writing, not reading.

E books are very useful when you're researching a subject and you only need one chapter or a few paragraphs. Even then, I'd rather print off the section than read it onscreen. I'm probably being illogical, but my brain seems to accept information better that way. I'm just an old fashioned girl, I guess.

I definitely prefer having a hard-copy book to read from, because I remember my professor in university, very well, saying that even if you've got something as an e-book, print it out and read it because there has been numerous researches and studies done on this subject and all have proven that reading from a hard-copy is actually more convenient for the reader, grasping the information faster.

I prefer to read real books than e-books as reading off the screen feels uncomfortable. I had thought about getting one of those e-book readers, but was put off because they are sooo expensive. - Derek

I love to collect e-books, but I really want to make it hard copy.
But it depends on the books. Not all of my e-book have to make hard copy to read.

Please don't flip the pages, coz book have it own live (lol) so, just put a bookmark on it.;P

I prefer hard_copy books then E-books .I think real books are very interesting,and it is very easy to read .When I read the E_book,I find it very hard to see the scream .But on the other hand,E-books are cheaper then hard_copy books .

I prefer to read the traditional books,I think it's more convenient and comfortable to read.imagining that you want to read a book of 500 pages,do you have enough patience to flip it from the first to the last page in the computer?

i prefer hard back more then a ebook because i get headaches if i look at the screen to long

My eyes can't take the strain of looking on the computer screen for a long time. It bad enough that I have to work on the computer for 8 hours,I don't want to further strain it by reading on the computer too. My eyes could use the rest of reading from paper instead. I also like the fact that I can bring whatever I read with me wherever part of the house I may be. I guess many agree that printing the e-book and reading it on paper is basically defeating its purpose of being an e-book, to be paperless. hehe

i prefer harcopy books for the series i'm collecting. but for regular reading, i get e-books since i'm most often on the go. and i love reading especially when i feel the need to just relax and have something to eat.

In hard-copies, I can bring them anywhere I want whether in public places or even at the toilet. I can also bookmark it so that I could easily remember the last page I read.

In e-books, it's complete opposite because it only stays in the computer. The only good thing in e-books is you can download some of them for free. But still, I prefer the traditional way.
