What if you don't have enough money to treat your pet?

So, if your pet was really sick at the moment. The vet told you that you need to spend some thousand bucks to save your pet's life. You are so willing to save your closed companion, but you couldn't come up that much money at the moment. What would you do? Would you rather let it be, or you must find a way to come up that much money? What is your choice?

I agree with you most absolutely that it is nice to have pets. I knew someone who had a cat once and the cat gave her great pleasure. The cat was even like a companion to her. It was like a friend to her. But the cat got sick and my friend did not have any money to pay the vet and he suggested she do bad things to pay him. The cat did not get better because my friend would not do bad things with the vet.
