HTTP and other Internet protocols are commonly used as well, especially FTP and e-mail. There is often an attempt to use Internet technologies to provide new interfaces with corporate 'legacy' data and information systems.

| |  If you had really wanted to know then I could have told you what an intranet was. However, it appears that you were only interested in pretending to have some knowledge. Your posting certainly did not match the poor level of english that the title did, so it was obvious that you had not written it.
It did not take long to discover that you copied and pasted the information from the Wikipedia website.

but intranet is for connecting a particular organization..
that is within a lan..
u will be given a username and password by the organization through which u will be accessing intranet...
others are restricted
