Who has paid down alot of debt?

We've paid down about 13,000 in the last year. The year before we paid down 4,000. The 4 thousand was more impressive because we did it when my husband wasn't working. A lot of what we did was cut back in different areas. We're not disciplined, so we kind of chose a different area each month to cut back on. One month we were really careful about food, another we tried biking/walking/taking the bus everywhere, that sort of thing. I found small ways to make extra money, got coupons from websites, used gift cards from reward points, etc. I tried to make weekly small payments. I found reading a lot of personal finance blogs really helpful. I got ideas and it helped me stay focused.
