Is your desk in clutters or clean?  

Let's see now. The office table top clean, yes because those are the strict instructions given at the office. When you leave the office there should be nothing on the table. So where does it all go ?

The first dawere, full, recent stuff. The second one full again, and that happened 3 months back, and the last one...i can't tell you since when that has been full..

It's different at home, .. both are cluttered.

Well, the desk I am using right now does not have any drawers, but there are many cubicles which I believe are called "pigeon holes" and generally it is orderly and clean, but today I must confess it is a disorderly mess. I hope my mind does not follow, lol. When it is cleaned up again, I will be a happier camper.

Oh, that, and my huge vase of cut flowers died. Well, that is the problem with cut flowers; they do not live forever. But I did some pruning out in the yard and could not bear to throw the cuttings away, so I brought them in and greatly enjoyed the pretty yellow bird of paradise flowers for a few days. Then they started dropping pollen all over, of course. Yellow bird of paradise will root from cuttings, but as we are leaving on vacation soon, I do not believe that they will take root before we go. Next year I will conduct an experiment. Now you see why my desk is cluttered? Too many experiments!

My last job I was there for about 2 years my desk was clutterd some times and clean others. I ususally kept file folders on my desk for each thing I was doing. It kept my desk neat enough so if a clent came in it looked okay. On Fridays I made sure my desk was cleaned off. All work done, every thing put away, every thing filed, so when I went in Monday morning it was a fresh start.

My desk now at work is very clean. I don't have a lot going on at this job. There isn't a lot of paperwork so its nice that I don't have to clean up too much.

At home I don't have a true desk any more. I have a lap top and use it where ever now. I do have a place in my bedroom that has all my desk stuff and since I don't use it often it stays clean!

My office desk is clean and organized...for around five minutes. I don't have drawers like everyone else so everything is under the table (there's stuff under the table too)I can't keep it clean. There's homework that my students' send (arrange by class so I won't mix it up), notes, worksheets, stationary, books (in two big magazine holders), calender and clock. There's also lots of printed materials for next and relief class.

it's clean, all the things are put accordingly and i really don't like messy and untidy desk. i can't work effectively knowing that there are unnecessary things that is on my desk. if i know that a certain thing is on my desk that was not originally there i put it somewhere before i work.

Clutter makes my home feel homely! But don't tell my husband I spend an hour a day on undoing his great tidy -up sessions! He hates clutter, I like it. he throws stuff out, I fish it out of the garbage! He hates drawers , i think they are a necessity to home all the things which don't fit into niches. ( screwdrivers scissors, pens...)

Hello mimpi1911 , at the moment my desk is fairly clean. I moved less than a month ago so I didn't put everything back up on the desk only thing I should have done was find more pens in case I lose the one pen I have. Before I moved my b/f had put alot of papers on it. I try to make piles of what is important and what is not. This desk has no drawers only 5 levels.My b/f was the one who cluttered the desk and he only lives with me part of the time now. When he gets his transfer he knows what it is like to live with people who are messy, his room mates are very messy people and he swears he will not clutter the apartment again. Thanks for reminding me I should get the desk better prepared so I won't have to go crazy looking for pens.

If my desk is clean all the time, then I'd never find surprising things! Who doesn't like surprises? Our desk is slightly clean, but the drawers are disaster.

My desk is neat, clean and organized unless I am using it and have much work to do. Sometimes I need all the space that I can get. Even when I am using a lot of space, I like to keep things organized so that they are easily accessible. I always keep my drawers organized so that I can find what I need quickly and easily. Everything has its place. Cheers.

Oh my..both of my desk and drawers are in chaos.LOL! Its not that Im comfortable that way but I have a habit of putting my things on top of my desk. They just pile up over time. I do clean it eventually but depending upon how busy or how much stuff that I need to do I just put cleaning off until Im really free for an afternoon. Once its clean, a visitor will be surprised that there was a desk over that corner.LOL! As for the desk drawers, most of my drawers are in order but those are the drawers that I dont open most of the time. I just put things there for safe keeping. However, the drawers that I keep thigns that I frequently need are also in chaos.

Well, actually for me, its organized chaos cause even if it looks very messy, I still know where things are and I can easily look for an item whenever I need it. Its a bit of a bother when someone cleans it up. Ill be going all over the place trying to find where he/she put the stuff on top of my desk. It will be like a search party.

Anyway, I know this kind of organized chaos might seem untidy for other people but it does work for me so I guess its each to their own as they say.
