Can Hot Wings Be TOO Hot?

I've never had them too hot, just too mild. Though I did have a buffalo chicken sandwich tonight that I didnt' like, because it was just chicken in a wrap with buffalo sauce and no lettuce or tomato and not enough blue cheese dressing. Any hot wings are too much without the blue cheese, you need both for the right taste.

If you had to eat ice cream afterwards and it was actually painful, I'd say it was too hot!

I love the boneless wings! Hubby and I eat at Buffalo Wild Wings occasionally and love it because we can get several different sauces and mix and match them. I prefer honey barbecues to the hot ones. I did accidently pour hot barbecue on my pulled pork sandwich the other night and about burned my mouth off!

I had some that were just too hot, even a pint of beer wouldn't put out the flames. I spent the night eating candy just to get the acid levels down to a roar. After that I petitioned the place to never serve them again or have a fire crew standing by to hydrate my soul.

I just read your discusion, that's funny! Yes I have had wings that was too hot, they would be so hot you have to run and get some water, or a drink. Have you ever made them yourself, I always like to make them I make different kinds, the ones with Honey and Mustard, Teryiaki sauce, Barbecue Wings, the hot or mild ones. I even like the plain wings with Ranch Dressing, also they are good with some A-1 Steak Sauce. You should try all these favorites, i bet your husband and you will love it!

hi danishcanadian, we both like hot wings as well and so far never found any which were too spicy for us to eat. We dont have Swiss Chalet here so we cant go and try these super spicy ones out that your husband must have ordered.

However here its the other way around now. My husband should not eat as spicy stuff any more as we were used to,cause we suspect that too hot food causes his irritating nosebleeds. Cant be the coffee cause a while ago he has already switched to decaf coffee for himself......

I definately think hot wings can be too hot. I am more of a mild fan.

Lol, I find their hot is a joke, lol. But, that's just me.
I say if you can handle the 'suicide/volcanic' heat,then go for it.
They can never be too hot.

Oh my, I love buffalo wings, I don't ever think they are too hot! I prefer boneless wings though, they taste much better to me and it is easier to eat really hot ones!

Hot wings, whether they be food from the supermarket or from the restaurant can be quite hot tasting, also the spice element or added ingredients inside the chicken can certainly be too hot. The after taste also when the chicken is cooked can be slightly overpowering. With the left overs I threw away, I dont tend to like eating the skins of these chicken wings.

I'm a big wimp when it comes to hot and spicy stuff. I can't even handle the medium. I've see people add hot sauce to hot wings and thought they were crazy, my eyes were watering just from sitting near their plate. I don't mind a little spice, but there comes a point where that's all you taste, and in my opinion, then you might as well just drink a bottle of Tabasco.
