I don't think a lot of people will show up?

I think plenty of people will be showing up. They might take some precautions and wash their hands more often. But I don't think they will stay away. I don't think a horse can catch it.

First of all the swine flu is not transferred from an animal to a human being but from a human being to another. If people are afraid to catch it i dont blame them for not turning up for this Kentucky derby. I would have stayed inside.

I'm sure that there will probably still be a huge crowd for this despite the Swine flu. It's one of those events that people wouldn't want to miss lol. (I'll be watching it from my lazy-boy chair hahaha.) It will be interesting to see how many will be wearing masks. I have this disturbing mental picture of ladies with huge weird hats and wearing masks. No, I don't believe this virus can cross over to the horse. As I understand it, it crosses with swine, bird, and human, with no threat to other animal populations. I haven't read anything about horses being in danger. Hope it's a good race, should be exciting!

I do not think there will be many people showing up, but not just because of the Swine Flu. It would be because of the recession and people not having any money to travel. I do not know if the Horse will catch it, but we never know, it might cross species. Oh yes I watch Fringe so of course my mind does go in weird directions.

I think anyone can catch it. Any specices. They probably won't be many their.

Well the traffic I have been driving in this week due to the Derby has been heavy so not sure if it will keep people away or not. As far as who will win the race, not sure what horses are even running. Been too busy working to even know. I have to get ready and go to work right now.

yeah, but it is really hard to say, you never know how it will turn out, people might come with masks on.
