What's your favorite horror movie? |
|
I love The Army Of Darkness and From Dusk Till Dawn. Not scary but fun to watch. I also like The Ring. It's basically the only horror movie that managed to scare me. I counted days after I've seen it for the first times. I even experienced some signs from the movie like I've seen a centipede and I had a dream about Samara. Call me crazy but I took pictures of myself to see if I'll end up blurred lol

1. sweetashoney (766) | 9 months ago | I always liked to watch the Halloween movies and I also liked the very first When a stranger calls movie. When a stranger calls gave me the creeps because something like that could really happen.

sweetashoney (766) | 9 months ago | It's a good movie to me, I didn't like to remake as much as I did the original one though. If you ever run across it, check it out it might be one that you would like.

Bionicman (1561) | 9 months ago | It had great potential. When it started I thought I'll be scared to look in the mirror after the movie ends but it all went downhill soon. The whole movie was boring and I hated the end. Well at least I liked the bath scene lol

3. dasani (2012) | 9 months ago | I like most horror films and to come up with one particular favorite will be a tough choice. hmm-When it boils down to it, I would have to say that NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is the scariest and my favorite horror movie. That scene when the little zombie girl ate human flesh was too shocking! The images of that scene still creeps me out. I’ve seen a lot of scary films but I think this one has connotations to the general fear that can happen, such as fear of contagious viruses which freaks us out with paranoia.

Bionicman (1561) | 9 months ago | I liked it too especially the end. btw are you referring to original or the remake? The original was in black and white. The remake is from 1990.

dasani (2012) | 9 months ago | The original. Yea, the ending blew me away too! Incredible. Anyhow I can’t recall watching the remake. Have you seen the remake? How was it?

4. thezone (2127) | 9 months ago | I would have to agree with you, Army Of Darkness and From Dusk Till Dawn were very fun movies. I also loved The Rig series, they were really creepy. I have many horror movies that are favorites. I don't know if I could pick just one. But a stand out movie for me would be The Thing by John Carpenter. I know I have talked about Carpenters work before, but his movies are just great.

I'd like to see the version from the 50's too- The Thing from Another World

Bionicman (1561) | 9 months ago | btw there's a PC survival horror game bast on the movie and I've heard it's great. I always wanted to try it. I wonder how they translated the whole paranoia concept into the game

5. jwfarrimond (2416) | 9 months ago | I think that Carrie was pretty good - epecially the ending. I'm not sure if you'd count the alien films as horror, but they are certainly pretty scary - especially the first one

6. NuttyMomma (651) | 9 months ago | I grew up watching horror movies and back then it was old 50's movies in black and white.I was only about 10 years old and my dad would let me stay up late to watch Creature Features on Saturday nights. Horror hotel scared me when I was 11 years old. I saw the original version of Halloween in the movie theatre when it opened ( i was 17). That was a great movie. Nightmare on elm street is a scary premise to me that your nightmares come true. I like zombie movies as well. After seeing Dawn of the Dead it was hard to go into the mall at closing time, lol!...I don't really get into these "slasher" movies, they are predictable and full of unnecessary violence. I far more enjoy a good pyschological thriller. The ring was good. I have always had a thing for vampire movies also.

7. thedailyclick (1117) | 9 months ago | My Favourite horror has to be the original Halloween. To modern gore fans it may lack all the sadistic, bloody elements which make up the main stay of modern horrors but it has a bucket load of atmosphere, suspense, tension and enough moments which are so unexpected that it still makes me jump today despite having watched it countless times.

8. Jenniferp (196) | 9 months ago | I love the Hellrasier movies, those freaked me out! I remember watching Hellbound with my friend Amy when we were like 13, I was not old enough! I don't think that I slept soundly for a week or two. I have always like Stephen King stuff, most movies are so silly, but Pet Cemetay was so cool! I love the books too!

Bionicman (1561) | 9 months ago | I never liked Hellraiser movies. I like the concept and love the cenobites but the movies are pretty bad IMO
I wanted to see Pet Sematary for a long time but haven't really got a chance.

10. Yori88 (1318) | 9 months ago | I like The Ring too. But my most favorite includes, House Of Wax, Wrong Turn and Saw Series. I am not too much on super gross movies. I like suspense and thriller but horrors are also good. I hate it when there are human internal organs being shown because they make me really weak and shocked. I guess I still have a lot of horror movies in mind but I can't recall them now. Let me think of them sometime.
