| |  I love the idea of an eco-friendly life. I definitely try to be eco-friendly, but as most people know it can be difficult in our world today. I like to use reusable shopping bags and I will reuse my plastic bottles before recycling them. I often use a reuseable stainless steal water bottle. I turn off lights when I am done in a room, ect.

| |  I think an eco-friendly life is a great idea!
The obvious side of this is that it helps to save the planet! There are so many things that I have enjoyed throughout my life. So many different parts of nature - such as waterfalls and forests. I have also enjoyed walking around a few cities that were clean! If we dont protect the planet, these things will disappear. The forests will be cut down for paper. The waterfalls will become polluted and disgusting. If factories are allowed to continue to pour their pollution into the air, there will soon be no clean cities left!
If we continue to waste like we, as a population, have been over the past couple of decades, there soon wont be anywhere let to put the trash. Im not sure if you have seen the movie 'Wall-E' or not. There is trash literally covering the planet. It may not be that bad at first. But what happens when there is no where left to put a landfill? What will happen to the trash then. Its not a pretty thought!
The other side that is advantageous about an eco-friendly life is that it is also a budget friendly life! Buying in bulk reduces the amount of packing necessary for the items - it is also usually cheaper per unit than buying in smaller sizes. Planting your own garden to make sure there are no pesticides on your produce is much cheaper than buying produce at the store! Cutting back on your electricity usuage stops pollutants at the power plant and costs you less each month on your electric bill!
There really is reason for everyone to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle. It will help save the planet for our children and grandchildren. It will also save us a few bucks in the meantime!

I've watched Wall-E. It's a very good movie. Not just literally but the message that it want to pass thru the story itself.
It should be a wake up call for everyone but it seems nobody's paying attention.
Above your description on how people destruct their own home, EARTH, people should realize the fact nothing is destructing the earth but ourselves.
We over exploit things for our own comfort, neglecting the world's natural balance.
Most of all, please consider vegetarian diet for eco-friendly lifestyle.
I doubt it once but now I believe that vegetarian diet IS eco-friendly lifestyle.
How many pollutants and waste are reduced if people adopt vegetarian diet?
Check it for yourself. Even the UN experts call for emergency that vegetarian diet is the only way to save the planet from global warming.
If we do nothing about the planet now, we're making our own hell in this materialistic world.
