Is it ever to late to go back?  | |  I took off a year before I went to college. Then I went for a year and then I moved to Miami where I didn't continue my education. I am now 22 soon to be 23 and it is just so hard for me to go back. I wouldn't say I have any dead end jobs but not a job where I would want to move up if I had a choice. So is it too late to go back to school or just keep working until I find something I like?

If I could afford too, I would be tempted to go back to university and try it again, because I hated it the first time around, but I think I would enjoy it more now I'm older. Instead, I do the occasional Open University course.

its never too late. That is one of the problems with GCSE'S these days is that once you have done them, it pretty much decides your life, and almost brainwashes you that you are stuck with them. But this is not the case as there is always re-sits...
but back on task... no it is not, altho it may feel a little strange for a while, you will get used to it... and im pretty sure that it will pay off pretty well in the future. Its mainly based on maturity... | |

There are many, many people who have great lives and great careers without going to school. College is not absolutely necessary. It is just a matter of what you want out of life.

| coolcoder (1453) | 7 months ago |  This is so true. I have a Bachelor's degree, and the only job I could find was at a fast-food restaurant. I had no choice but to go back to school to get more education so I'd be able to work somewhere else besides aforementioned restaurant.
So yeah...go back to school if you can afford it, even if that means you can only take a couple of classes at a time. You'd be surprised by the number of people who are 20 or more years older than you who are in college these days.:D

| | | 6. machatago (135) | 7 months ago |  Well it is never too late to go back to school you know, you can browse the courses you want and enroll it as soon as you wish, I know other people who went back to school in their 30's because they want to finish a degree and I think it is wise to do so even if you're working. It is a good feeling that you achieved something. I know that because I have graduated already from college.
