Do you have a "real life" job? What do you do?

I'm just curious. I'm pretty certain that most people on here are not actually making their living on the internet, so I want to know what kind of "real jobs" people on here have. I'm in college full time and I work part time as a cashier at a home improvement store.

i'm a freelancer involved in microfinance. i do research, training and consultancy work. the internet is quite a useful tool in my line of work, for data gathering, getting information and communication. i do mylot during breaks, when workload is not heavy, and in between travels. i haven't seriously explored my potential to earn from the internet but i'm starting to build these ideas. hehe since my time and skills are pretty flexible, i do little odd jobs here and there that earns a little too.

Microfinance is a scary word. I'm glad there are people out there who do it so I don't have to.

it isn't scary at all. :) i do project work for donor institutions so they would maximize their donor funds to small institutions helping poor communities. i'm not into financing per se... :)

I certainly don't make my living on the internet, the money I make here at the lot is just for fun, I normally spend it on scrapbooking supplies. My 'real life' job.......well I'm a wildland firefighter, and there are not that many women in my line of work. I was a volunteer firefighter for 9 years, been working for the forestry service for the past 3 yrs, and working at getting on with the Forestry service in Texas, moving back there in a couple of months.

That certainly sounds like an interesting job, and a necessary one too! I always like to hear about women who are "pioneers" in their line of work. Even though we have a lot more job equality than we used to, there are still a lot of professions that tend to be reserved for one gender or the other.

I am a deli worker. I slice meat. But actually, that's just a cover for my real job. I'm actually an artist, I sell paintings worth millions. My ink is derived from roast beef juice and freshly squeezed pastrami. I'm a postmodernist.

I would love to just save my online earning... but that is quite impossible because eventhough i have a full time job and my husband is working abroad... money is still limited... i work as a sort of assistant at a Realty Company... well the set up is quite complicated to explain... but the work gives me plenty of time to use the internet for my online endeavors...

My full time job is teaching. I am currently teaching Pre-Kindergarten from 8am-6pm every day. It's one heck of a long day but such a rewarding job. I earn money online as my secondary source of income. It doesen't bring me in a lot of extra money but some. And any little bit helps, that's for sure. I usually spend a lot of time online in the evenings before bed and on the weekends.

My husband is studying to be a teacher, but he wants to teach high school. Good teachers can make a huge difference in kids' lives, even at a really young age, so kudos.
