indeed so! god himself tells us his name. he is recorded as saying : i am jehovah,
that is my name. isaiah 42:8, american standard version) the name jehovah is the best known english form of the hebrew name god gave himself. it may surprise you
that this unique hebrew name appears thousands of times in ancient bible manuscripts. in fact, it appears more often than any other name mentioned in the
bible. jesus made god's name known and used it often among the people.

I agree that God has a name and his name is Jehovah. In the Hebrew Scriptures alone, Jehovah appears more than 7,000 times. That only indicates that God want us people to know His name and use it in addressing him in our prayers and in telling others about Him like what Jesus did when he was on earth. The book of Romans even say that everyone calling Jehovah's name will be saved.

The name Jehovah is a recent English rendering of the tetragrammaton, the name Jehovah was not in the original manuscripts. In fact, the letter J was not even invented until the 1300s. Jehovah is not a Hebrew name.
There are many names for God in the Hebrew and they often illustrate God's relationship to man.
I prefer Yahweh to Jehovah, but as long as you know the God you speak to, He isn't worried about whether or not you spelled his name right.
