I may have just figured out what's wrong with me! Have you taken Levoquin?

Okay, okay, I know there's quite a lot wrong with me, but I'm referring to my pain level, especially in my joints. This news also sheds new light on my recently discovered tears in my right knee!
I saw an ad on TV last night from a law firm handling a class-action lawsuit over the drug, "Levoquin", which is an antibiotic. The "black box" warning appeared on the labeling 4 months AFTER I took it, in January '08.
Apparently, it's causing tendon tears galore! They say it can happen immediately or several months after taking this drug.
I have had two tears verified. I received a cortisone shot in my left thumb joint because of extreme pain (no X-rays were taken). I have had increasing pain in several joints since last year so I'm thinking... which I know isn't always a good thing but in this case it just may be... could this be caused by Levoquin?
Have you heard of this? Have you taken this antibiotic Levoquin and since suffered tendon tears or simply a sharp pain or "popping" in any joint, followed by chronic pain?
If you have, I strongly suggest you do a search of this drug online. There appear to be several law firms starting class-action lawsuits against the manufacturers of this drug. I don't know anything else yet as I just heard about it last night. But, if you have any more information or learn any new information, would you mind sharing it?
I'm actually pretty excited about this... it could be what is causing my nerve damage and the chronic, sometimes stinging pain in some of my joints! I've been worrying about MS but now... well, I'll just have to look into this some more and ask more questions.

Aha! I read a little further into Levaquin's website and saw this: "The appearance of LEVAQUIN Oral Solution may range from clear yellow to clear greenish-yellow."
So, they do have a liquid form.

Since you have fibromyalgia, don't EVER take Levaquin! There's a warning about that right on their website. My doctor (actually, the nurse practitioner) prescribed it for me, knowing full well that I have fibro plus arthritis and bursitis and it's not supposed to be given to patients with any kind of joint problems. (Just another thing to add to my list of complaints against this medical practice!)

You may have to start a suit against the company as well. I'm sorry that you are having these problems. I too have had problems from taking medications. I stopped taking them and I got better. I hope this works for you.

You just may be onto something there, kid! Nice work.
I wish you all the best in your research. Perhaps too, you might be able to add your name to that class-action suit?
Oh, and by the way..."thinking"...only slows you down.
;-)
Good luck with that my dear.
Cheers;

This is very interesting information. To my knowledge I have never taken Levoquin although it may be called something else here in Australia. It would surely lessen your concerns in regards to MS. My Goodness... If all your pain has been caused by this pharmaceutical I sure would want to sue, but that is something that will require careful investigation first; you don't want to be slugged for expensive lawyers and stress you don't need! Keep us posted...

I love the new pic!.... sorry just saw it and had to say something!
Ok... Look into it because its a huge deal. Lucky for my I only had one IV dose of it before they noticed I was allergic and turning funky colors. You have the medical back up that you've noticed the pain before knowing that leviquan may be the cause.
Good luck and keep us informed.
