these days i sleep for 4 or five hours in the night, an hour or so in the afternoon if its possible.my children are studying for exams, so i keep waking up to check on their needs, though they are old enough to take care of themselves.i stayed awake through the night in my student days.i slept for a week when i was down with chicken guniya fever.nothing was consciously tried.it just happened.

36 hours is my longest time without sleep.Earlier in my higher secondary school exams,I used to remain awake for the complete night before the last exam and went to sleep the next night only. That is the longest one.Other than that,it is common form me to remain sleepless for 24 hours per month, whenever I return from purchase for my business.Cheers!

The longest I've ever stayed up until has been 48 hours and it was because it was finals week (actually, it was a couple of days ago) and as crazy as it seems, I really just didn't have enough TIME to sleep, and I was VERY stressed out and over-caffeinated (a bad combination).

I use to work at a really popular deli in a very busy college town. There is a good reason that I use to work there. During a huge college sponsored bicycle race that we have annually my deli would stay open 24 hours for several days to take advantage of the extra 20,000 people that would flock to my city. There has even been a movie made about this event. It's pretty lame. Back to the topic though. As a manager I was obligated to put in 300% during the race weekend. The last year I went all out. I went to work Thursday night at 8 p.m. and went home Sunday afternoon around 4 p.m. I was absolutely bonkers! I made sooooooo much money that month on my bonus though. HOOT HOOT casholla! I think that is 68 hours, but I'm still too tired 2 years later to think about it that hard.

147 hours is my personal record, actually, it's a week (6 hours and 3 hours) full of cramming, and meeting tons of deadlines. But I was only able to do that once, though. that was back when I was in the second year in college.

I haven't really focused on trying to see how long I can stay awake but I think the breaking point would be 24 hours for me. Unless I have a really good reason to stay up I'm not gonna be staying up. I don't think it's really good for your body to be staying up that long anyway, your pushing your body to the brink by doing that.
