Heading To Our Local Garden Centre

I like Saturday mornings when Jenny and I go out for breakfast at Hynze Restaurant. We try to get there about 7am, before families with little kids come in. It's so much quieter at that time. We have been going to this spot since we first met, almost 30 years ago now and we have been married for 27 of those years. We started going there for desert, mine was always a big banana split as it was summer when we met. The food is still excellent and it's only a 10 minute walk from our house. After I have had my steak and eggs we are walking about an hour to one of our local nurseries, McArthur's Nursery, to see what we can pickup for our garden this year. We like to add something new to our garden each year. How do you spend your Saturday?

I seem to be very busy during the week, so on Saturdays I usually have laundry and cleaning to do. I do take off now and then for some garage saling or a drive in the country, and I like to watch baseball on TV sometimes, too. Saturdays never last as long as they should.

I work from home so I can pretty much do what I want with my time but most of my friends, well actually all of my friends work out side their home and during the week so weekends are important for me as that's the time we usually get to go fishing. Even though I could pick up and go fishing any time I want I like fishing with friends. And of course the time goes way to fast and we are on our way back home again. So I know the feeling of Saturdays going way too fast. :) I guess I need to help a few of my friends start making their living online so they can quit their jobs and go fishing with me during the week.

I work from home, too, but somehow, it's hard for me to get other things done during the week. It's true, though, that I have more freedom by working this way.

That sounds like a lovely day, except the part 7am, I am not an early riser but it sounds good anyway...i love going to yard sales but I must admit one has to get early to get the good things which I don't, so I mainly go visit friends and call into any yard sales on the way...

We haven't has a car since I had my heart attack and the doctors told me I couldn't drive any more until they said so. We use to go to a lot of yard sales, and yes you need to be an early riser to get the best stuff, but it was worth it for all the fun and the great things we used to get. I even bought things that I would buy for pennies and then sell for dollars on eBay, that rocked and was a ton of fun. We will do that again once we decide on the car we will be getting. We want to go green so we are taking our time looking. Yesterday we got a lot of things from the garden center but even better, when we got to the yard sale they had a pile of gardening magazines. I bought them all for just $2.00. They are great for coming up with blog content.
