Any excuse someone gives would be just that: an excuse. A man or a woman should defend themselves if necessary. But defense does not mean attacking the person back! That only spurs the situation on and nothing constructive gets accomplished!

It is never ok for a man to hit a woman, I have heard this topic over and over, I have been through abuse with my husband, and we split up, he tried to choke me and i got his family to get him away from me, we were living in New Jersey at that time, when I got back to Virginia, were I am from we stayed together, fow a while unil he had drug dealers coming to my parent's house, looking for him, my step father told my mother, to put him out and she did, that was back in 1992 and we have been seprated ever since, he is not in jail, no I don't miss being with him, It is never ok for a man to hit a woman.

Its never okay for a man to hit a woman and its not okay for a woman to hit a man. There are plenty of other ways to express frustration and anger. If its a situation that requires self-defense then by all means defend yourself.

No, it's not okay for a man to hit a woman. Just like it's not alright for a woman to hit a man. It's something that I strongly disagree with. It's something that shouldn't be done, but is something that is still done, sadly.

the only time is if the mans life is in danger but if she is attacking him unarmed that is no reason to hit her best thing is to leave and let things calm down because no offense to any women here but a average women cant really do the type of damage a man can do depending on height and weight of the couple yes women can give us scratches black eyes and bruises but men can dislocate eye sockets break jaw bones its just how it is men are physically stronger....in most cases because iv seen some women that could manhandle me no prob but for the most part we tend to be the "dominant" one physically

i think that if a woman hits a man she should fully expect to be hit back, i am so sick of the double standard. if you fight like a man then expect to be hit like one. i do not even really believe in violence. but do not throw that first punch and not expect to be hit back, it is just as bad for a woman to hit a man as it is for a man to hit a woman. i am all about equality between the sexes.

I don't think that is okay for a normal man to hit a normal woman like that. It just won't justified the situation. Except that particular woman was trying to hurt or harm that man or other innocent people. For self - defense reason. You just have to protect yourself or others by fighting back to that woman. That might find it reasonable.
