Are educated and intelligent people arrogant?

Jealousy is the answer. Some people do get inferiority if you don't get enough educated themselves. I have seen many people are like that. But many who are educated enough are very street smart and are good in manipulating people. For some are boasted about themselves that they are educated from abroad and should highly think of him. I will not do that. For me, we are treated as equal. And we are all different even though if we have the same school. Honestly, education is really needed to all of us and should not put a barrier between people who are the highest standard of education. We should be equal. Remember, that the education is a ticket for our career survival. And that's all. No competition and no barriers.=)

i have seen people that they think they have a higher eduacation they are better than the ones that don't and i have seen the same with the ones that don't have a high education.it is in the person personality that determind the differents

i agree with you,but not all educated and intelligent people.and its not that they are arrogant,they might be haughty or even it may be due to their work tension and pressure.and one more thing education must not be a wall,it should be a bridge to connect the educated and uneducated.HAPPY MYLOTTING!!!!!!

Well not all. I have a friend back in college who is soo intelligent and he's at the top of the class in Psychology and the rest of the subjects. He is so bright that even professors look up to him. But then guess what? He look up to me like his older brother. I kind of influence him in life like learn how to enjoy life. Maybe not all intelligent people are arrogant. Some are lonely souls which needs someone to teach them how to enjoy life.

Hehe! And to be honest, they always say that I am arrogant. Is it because I am from the most prestigious university in our country? Haha!

No they aren't, but the ones that think they are intelligent and educated - although often they aren't - many times are.
As for the rest of your discussion most people don't like to feel inferior, so it's easier just to find a fault in someone that is threatening their (in) securities.
I don't think education is, or should be, a wall between people. And thankfully I don't see it as such that much nowadays, but I know that in the past it has been.

Just because peopple are educated and intellegent does not mean they are arrogant. There are plenty of people who are, but there are also plenty of people who aren't. Then there are those who are not overly intellegent or educated, but who have talents in other areas, but are arrogant due to their own talents.

Intelligence cannot be actually measured by mere academic marks one attains.Everyone has smartness and guts,are actually to be the sustaining element in life.Education makes one feel he is not superior than anyone else present in the world,the one who does feel so,makes his existence felt by many wrong deed s too.Giving respect to another person's excellence should never be felt disgraceful of or ashamed of.Doing so make the person,a better person than the other one.Normal people with an average frame of mind,must be with people whoa are much more Intelligent than themselves for actual success in life.
