Which is your favorite band and why? The Who was wild, The Stones were cool , but i prefer The Beatles. I prefer their style and they had more ballads. How about you?

Of course the Beatles as they were so hot when I was growing up! I remember all the controversy surrounding them when they finally arrived in the USA.....I remember seeing them on Ed Sullivan show......and I do like their music...the Who would be next for me and I never really cared for the Rolling Stones.

I know I am going to be blasted for this one... but I could NEVER, then or now... see the attraction the Beatles had! I just couldn't see it! I was around 4th,-6th grade those years they first came to town, and with no tv or radio... didn't even know about them other than what my cousin (10 years older) talked about them, but in later high school years when I did start listening to music and all.. just couldn't figure it out! Now, at 50 - I STILL can't find that attraction!!! They only stayed together for 3 years...why such a short time if they were so great? Then they all went on their own and Paul had a few songs, but other than that.. still can't see the attraction! The Who and the Stones - I just wasnt into that style of music. Closest I got was 3 Dog Night and Chicago! I really liked those two groups!

i never blast people for answering honestly. When the Beatles came to America I wasn't even born. when they broke, 1970, I was 3. so I am coming late to the party.I love the Beatles because they took r and b and gave it a British spin in the early days. In the middle broke the rules of a pop song Has to be this or that.Musically they brought in instruments that were never considered as Pop. and they recorded songs longer than the basic 3 minutes. and still the radio stations played them anyway. And the late was songs that were trying to say something.Don't get me wrong , one of my favorite songs , Paul wrote with Wings. Another John wrote after the Beatles. But they aren't for everyone. I like Chicago very much. which is you favorite of their songs is your favorite? better still do you like them with or without Peter?

Actually I loved all three. My first choice were The Beatles when I was growing up--they became "popular" when I was only nine years old when they first "invaded" America back in 1964 (yikes I'm dating myself--LOL)--then around high school switched to the Rolling Stones and eventually the Who during my "woodstock" years---ga-rovy

I wasn't hear when they invaded, 1964, I'm dating myself too, so I was coming to the party late.I never got into the Who and with The Stones, I got to know their 80's work and then worked backwards. And with the Beatles, I heard their music everywhere and fellin love.

The Rolling Stones for their funky sounds and sexy songs; The Who for their glamorous style and destructive wild sounds; And The Beatles for their sweet, pop and amazing 'White Album'! :)
