|  I've seen "Jesus loves you" written on a T-shirt,bags,written this on the wall of our store.I don't' understand.Why do they do this?

| |  There is a kids song that starts out jesus loves me this I know cause the bible tells be so. I always wondered where that came from also. I don't remember the christ ever saying he loved anyone. For one thing he never wrote anything down. Everything that was written, was written many generations after his death by other people. I think it is a comfort thing. A reasurance thing in a time of stress to think that maybe this person loves them.

| |  John 3:16 says that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son. Now for the Son to do that must mean that He also loved us. Some people find it easier to share their belief this way. People would think you crazy if you were to say that to everyone you met but your shirt or bumper sticker can say it without people sending someone out to get you.

| |  "Jesus loves you" comes from the people who want to sell you those bags and T-shirts. Religion is a powerful and emotional issue that can become a strong marketing tool. If I can tie a T-shirt to your religious beliefs and convince you that displaying those beliefs in public is a good idea than you will buy my T-shirt.

| |  Hi silver, once again it is bible bashing because of this time of year, they never give up..the only thing we can do for those who are non-beleivers or want nothing to do with it is to ignore it and not let it get to us, also to respect their beleif..though being a pagan it doesn't worry me yet if preached to about how Jesus loves me I tell them that at least I do not preach my faith to them and would respect them not to do the same to me...littleowl
