Hello everybody are you enjoying your life with your younger kids or nieces or nephews? well for me I am enjoying every single minute I spend with them, I spend time playing and reading books with them or even watching movies. But what have I notice now that they are too old you will only remember the sweet memories and happy moments. Everything change they have their own so called life, they are too busy with their own priorities, their own friends. They are always in a hurry going to school going home late. They want to watch movies with some friends and they have their own choice of music differs with their parents. Can you give suggestions how can parents continue their bondings even though their children grow old?

i'm kind of scared with the thought of my kid growing up but i know there's no way i could stop that so i also make sure that i'm spending as much time with her as i possibly can. i guess this is one of those things that parents like us could not accept easily.

I think that I could be enjoying it more I am the mother of three kids under the age of six and it is a little hard because we are extreamly poor and it is stressfull not to be able to provide everything for them we are greatful for what we do have and we work very hard to find ways to make more and in that their is stress and it takes away time from my kids

Hi mhethess, I agree with you my friend and my wife and I raised three boys. We always enjoyed our time with them when they were young,it was often reading books but we also played sometimes. By being fair, pleasant, and honest, with then our bonding continued into the teen age years when we still enjoyed doing things as a family. Later they went off to university and eventually married and now have children of their own. Blessings.

I was a working single mom of two girls and I missed alot when they were growing up. I am now taking care of my granddaughter while my daughter and son-in-law are at work.I think helping my daughter out each day has brought us even closer than we were. Plus I enjoy taking care of my granddaughter because she makes me laugh and amazes me each day. She is 3 going on 25 LOL LOL LOL! I thank God that I have the opportunity in my life at this time to be here for all of them. Seeing my granddaughter each day makes me realize more of what I missed with my two beautiful daughters. We sometimes have to do what we have to do and I preferred to work then be on welfare or receive any other type of help. I would have loved to have been married and be able to be home with my girls but sometimes what we want differ to what God has in store for us. So I guess it made me a stronger person and for that I'm grateful.
