Do you respond to posted discussions that were 6 months to 1 year ago? |
|
Lately, I had responsed to some discussions that were way back couple months ago. The longest were 1 year ago posted discussions. Was I too late to make response to them? I just wonder how late does Mylot keep those discussions on the forum? I had over a couple hundred of discussions on mylot. I can track it way back to last year.

1. anonymousb (136) | 7 months ago | I think I may have responded to a few older discussions. Oh well. I probably was just searching on a topic that interested me and responded without even looking at the date it was posted.
I don't think it matters. If it's interesting, I'll respond regardless of the date it was posted.

2. johnnyg456 (229) | 7 months ago | I respond to any discussions regardless of how old they are. If something interests me I will defitnilly voice my opinion on it. However, I still can't get people to respond to my discussions. And I think mylot keeps discussions up as long as the site is up . Also as long as they don't violate the TOS everything should be good.

4. jayrene (1884) | 7 months ago | i think so, i may have responded to some discussions that are that old, i never really looked at the date on how old the discussion was already posted, but last night i have made a response about re-using giftbags and giftwrappers, well of course that would be talking about Christmas wrappers...lol
as long as i have something to say in the discussion and it interests me, i will respond to it even if it is already old.

5. mtdewgurl74 (10309) | 7 months ago | I don't think it matters when you answer a discussion you will get paid no matter how old it is. SO it isn't to late. I have answered some over 3 years old before. it doesn't hurt to bring a few of the old ones up front to start being answered again.

6. mike1976 (1102) | 7 months ago | I didn't used to respond to old discussions but I do if the member who originally posted it is still active. These older discussions can be revived with a recent comment and it's even better if the original poster comments because that will often completely revive an old post. I know several established members who still receive responses on discussions over 3 years old.

9. jazzsue58 (991) | 7 months ago | I just did that yesterday. I visited a place in sussex and searched the discussions, and found a 2 year old post that I just HAD to reopen. The person who posted is one of my regular MyLot friends anyway, but even so - I don't think she was expecting her old post reopened after all that time!
Normally, though, if I want to post on a topic that's been covered more than a year ago, I restart a new one but tag it differently - especially if the person who posted hasn't been active in a while.

10. modstar (4959) | 7 months ago | Yes, i don't see any reason why not. There could be some old discussions out there that are as interesting as new discussions. It really doesn't matter to me as long as it's something i can relate to and something i can respond well. I don't there you're too late to respond. Some people would respond after you then maybe the owner of that discussion will be interested in making the discussion alive again.
