in january i bought 2 guinea pigs, cause my daughters wanted 2 pets at home and since i worked all day, i could not take any dogs or cats. so we decided for guinea pigs, that are pets very sweet and intelligent.
i love them, i cannot imagine my life now without them and i consider them part of my family. i'm already try to find out a solution for my summer holidays. i do not want to leave them alone, cause they will not survive without me, so i presume i will pay a pet sitter or i will leave in a pets hotel!
do you agree with my thoughts??
do you have pets and consider them part of yr family?

I think pets definitely become part of the family. I rarely go on vacations so I always end up pet sitting in the summer. A lot of pet sitters don't know how to take care of guinea pigs and some are even afraid of them.
You could probably get a good pet sitting reference at www.guinealynx.info as that is a whole community of cavy lovers. Not sure if you've already come across that site or not, but if not, I'd highly recommend checking it out!
Best of luck with your piggies. They can be quite a joy!

Hi Pingi,
I am 100% agree with you. Aminals can be part of your family. Actually, from the monent you decided to have a pet, they are already with you, they are already one of your family memeber. I have a friend, he has a dog, the dog has been with him for almost 8 years, they know each other so well! Sometimes you can see they are even talking! It's amazing, but he lose his dog one day, and it's been 3 weeks since then, he is so sad, feel like losing one of his family memebers.

Yeah. Absolutely! Animals are sometimes better to be with than humans. LOL. They give unconditional love, specially dogs. Humans should be like dogs. Humans should love others unconditionally.

yah pingi, pet animals are coonsidered here as a part of family. i am from village and here maximum people are cultivators who domesticate buffalo and bull. for other purposes pig, goat, sheep, donkey, horse, elephant are domesticated. do u believe that the owners love them more than their own child. i have a cow and a little calf in my home. i have cats and dogs also.i consider them as part and parcel of our family.thanks.

My boerboel and Alsation dogs are part of my family. My son and I love dogs and it is his job to buy the food and look after their health and give them their walks, and I do most of the cleaning up. These dogs are so special to us that we are not returning to Canada or America until after they die. They get the most love and the best care - they have more towels than I have, have a great yard and lawns to play on, have dog toys and a comfortable bed and go for daily walks. Don't have pets if you cannot care for them.
