The bible says a lot of things that no one would dream of following. People use the bible to pick and choose their righteousness. That way they can just blame Jesus or God for all their bigotry & hatred, Judgmentalism etc etc.

I just think anyone who follows what is in the bible word by word is crazy! The bible was written years and years ago! I believe alot of the bible, in the Old Testament, was either made up or true stories that were exaggerated, big time! I also believe the New testament is all true. I'm a christain and I have struggled with my faith for years! Now I don't but it still bothers me that people still follow the bible religiously! I know some people who follow the bible like the "rule book" are not opened minded and will tell you that all you do is sinning and you are going to hell! It is like"If you don't believe in my religion" you are going to hell! I hate when people think their religion is the only one and it is perfect! Bull! No religion is perfect! No one is perfect either! I believe you can believe in what you want to and no one can stop you! I don't think God would want everyone to full the bible like a "rule book" ! Especially word for word! God wants us to be open minded and believe in what we want! This is my opinion!

Actually the Bible covers divorce too, and parts of it were written to be a rule book.
But I can see how it could get anoying. Expecially when in our society nothing is wrong until it is proven to be unhealthy or not benificial, and even then we "tolerate" it so that we will not be accused of bias.
