Do you like read books on your computer through a viewer?

Both have good and bad sides. I think I like "real" books more because I just like to own the book in real life, not virtually. I don't know why but also reading a "real" book is much nicer in my opinion. The good thing about viewers is that you don't have to have large book shelves and if you're reading a big book (more than 300 pages), it's very annoying to hold, especially if reading in bed which I usually do...

I buy the books that I want to read. I get back pains whenever I read from my computer and I don't enjoy reading as much.

On the one hand it's good that less paper is being used but I don't have a kindle, nor do I think I would particularly enjoy reading that way, and I hate reading a book from a computer screen. I prefer to hold an actual book in my hands. I usually get them from the library instead of buying them.

I prefer the old fashioned book... because that i can take anywhere i go... i don't have a smartphone... but i have a laptop... but then it is not the kind that is very small... so it would be a big hassle if i bring it with me just so i can read my favorite novel... so i still prefer my book... thick or thin...

I prefer the actual book, no doubt about that. Reading a book on the PC is uncomfortable for my eyes. Plus I love the smell and feel of paper, I love having well-stocked bookshelves. Plus you can't really lie in bed, in the bath or on the beach reading an e-book. So I only read parts of book online when deciding whether to buy the actual book.

Plus I rather suspect that the universal availability of books online might have a detrimental effect on author royalties. So I prefer to buy the book and support the author - after all, he or she has worked hard enough on it.

Like the others prefer paper books. reading on a computer strains my eyes, also books (when new) might use more paper but computers use electricity so not that green anyway.

i am what i like to call a bookie! i love books. i love the way the feel, the way they smell. i don't think i care for the whole kindle thing. i have not had the chance to use one as of yet, but i don't know if it's something i want to have

I buy books and sometimes read them through a viewer. I'll go with pretty much whatever is the cheaper option. It is kind of nice to read them on the computer because you're not straining your neck or stiff.
