Do you think motorcycle riders should wear helmets?  

Heyya IronMaiden! I'm all about personal choices. I would be very uneasy to say the least if I was on one without a helmet. Things can happen so quickly. I guess they were just so used to not wearing one that they don't really think about it. Thanks for the response.

Ofcourse motorist should and must always wear or use helmet because it is for your own safety. If u love your life you must follow the safety procedures,because its not only you will be benifited fr0m wearing a helmet plus u can avoid disturbing other people,we cant predict when accident(s) will happen so we must be very careful by taking necessary preacautions isnt,we always think and puT it on our mind that safety first before anything else

Wow..sounds like a heck of a bike you have! I can see where your coming from on the prtective clothing. Regular clothing just doesn't have what it takes against pavement. For the most part it is illegal in the US not to wear one but there are still several states that leave it up to the rider. Thanks for the response.

Sometimes the helmet looks really ugly ,haha,and it makes you breathe difficult,but maybe something unluky happened someday and the helmet can save your life! suggest to buy a strong goodlooking one just like in the movies .Good luck!

I agree that things happen very fast. There isn't any protection accept for what the rider is wearing. Sometimes it's other's mistakes that we have to prepare for and we can never know when they will make them. Thanks for the input.

I think that a lot of the reason some are still not wearing them is because they are used to not doing it. Sometimes these things are done out of habit or law. I agree it is more dangerous not to wear one. I have enjoyed some rides myself but could never dream of not wearing a helmet. Thanks for the response and friend request. Take care.

Hmmm..that's interesting. It's ski masks and pantyhose here that they use. In some places here it is not required to wear them. Most places it is. Thanks for sharing and take care.

In Australia you are required to remove your helmet before entering any bank or financial institution. It would be silly to have the security cameras running and not be able to identify the criminal.

Hi John4Christ! I can see what you mean about time and place. At lower speeds and limited view I can see why they would be a burden for some. It really amazed me that I saw so many people not wearing one. Thank you for the input.

Thank you for the experienced input. You don't have to worry about me..lol..I'm a chicken...I'm wearing all the protection I can find. You don't have to be going very fast to be realy damaged on a motorcycle. Take care.

Thanks for the info muscles! I had no idea there was a "happy" median to this law. I thought it was either yes or no. I don't ride very much either..practically none now. I just couldn't imagine not wearing one. Take care.

Wow! savypat...so well said, as I so concur with you. YOU are the one that I took these "wind in the hair" fools to...after I scraped them up off the roads! I guess that there are just some persons whom feel they are invincible!

In my opinion think is the wrong word to describe these idiots.

Jen, as usual, thought provoking topic! Sometimes people like me, & savypat feel like we are talking "wind thru the ears!" Seeing is believing, but why, oh why does the general public need a graphic picture? I just rode my E-bike to do some shopping (LOL) on this rock....I paid nearly as much for my helmet as my bike, I can replace the bike, not my brain! I read some responses that said, low speeds, no helmets needed....HUH...the car that HITS you can be travelling at 90! Another response was visibility...HELLO..there are helmets out there that have NO restrictions...............JEN ... good on you...you got me going! Luv ya!

i live in az where you don't need to wear one, but everyone i know that rides a bike wears one cuz its safer duh!!!
